This blog began to share my adventures as I cycle, paddle, and ski across Canada, to raise awareness of Alpha 1 Anti-trypsin Deficiency. Because of a decline in health, I have just decided to blog a few things here and there about life in general, from this Alpha's point of view.

Joining Samuel On His Trip
Samuel Carey has invited me to join him on his bicycle trip across the province. He has also invited me to join him here on this blog. I have started training with him and together we are working towards the goal of bicycling across Saskatchewan and raising awareness of his genetic disorder.

I am having a wonderful time training with Samuel. Unfortunately, I can't get out training as often as I would like. So I have decided to take a more supportive role in Samuel's trip. I will still be training with Samuel, but during the actual trip I will be driving and providing logistical and promotional support.
ReplyDeleteIf there is anyone out there interested in helping out, there are lots of ways to volunteer. You can join Samuel for a small portion of his trip, or help promote the trip by spreading the word, etc.
